How to Make a Story Starring Your Child

Stories that reflect a child’s interests and everyday world can make reading together feel more personal. Dreamcatcher Stories is an iOS and Android app where parents create illustrated stories with Turkish narration. Here is the process, step by step.

1. Create your child’s profile

Start with your child’s name, age and a text description of their appearance. These details help shape the main character. The app is designed for parents of children aged 0–10, with story language, length and narration adapted for ages 0–3, 4–6 and 7+.

One parent account can hold up to three separate child profiles. Choose details that fit each child, and select the right profile whenever you create a story.

2. Shape the story with your choices

After creating a profile, answer a few short questions about the story. Think about subjects your child enjoys, such as animals, exploring or familiar places. Your answers guide the theme and direction.

You can add one supporting character to a story: a family member, friend or pet. Choose the companion your child would enjoy meeting on this adventure.

3. Explore the illustrated story together

Stories have illustrations and Turkish narration. You can open a personalised story again to read or listen, so it can become part of a family routine rather than a one-time activity.

Narration continues after you lock the screen. You can look through the pictures together, read the pages yourself or listen to the Turkish audio.

4. Try the first story for free

Your first personalised story is free. There is no subscription; optional one-time packs are available if you want more stories.

To see the format before creating your own, explore the public sample for ages 0–3, “Demir’s Colourful Day”.
