How to Choose a Story Theme with Your Child

Listen to your child’s curiosity

Rather than looking for a right answer, ask what your child wonders about today. “Shall we travel among the stars, dive under the sea or stay with the toys?” gives them a place to start.

If they enjoy several ideas, you can imagine them together: perhaps a spaceship glides over the sea or toys set off to discover stars. Their interests become part of a shared game of imagination.

Explore space, sea and toys

Space offers planets, stars and exploration. The sea invites colourful creatures and underwater discovery. Toys bring familiar objects into the story’s centre.

Keep your child’s age in mind. Dreamcatcher Stories adapts language, length and narration for ages 0–3, 4–6 and 7+, and is designed for parents of children aged 0–10.

Add personal details

Once you have a theme, your child’s name, age and appearance from their profile make them the hero. Short preference questions let you guide where the adventure goes.

You can add one supporting character: a family member, friend or pet. Multiple saved characters cannot join the same story, so choose the one your child wants on this adventure.

Read and listen together

The finished story is illustrated and narrated in Turkish. Personalised stories can be reopened from your library to read or listen again. Narration continues after you lock the screen once playback starts.
