Terms of Use
1. Parties
The service provider is Arda İpekçi, an individual developer, at Kuştepe Mah. İzmen Sitesi A1 Blok No: 8 D:10 Şişli / Istanbul, Türkiye; destek@duskapani.com. The app is published in the stores under Arda İpekçi. The user is an adult aged 18 or over with legal capacity who downloads and registers for the app. People under 18 may not create accounts.
2. Service and stars
Dreamcatcher Stories creates personalised children's stories from details supplied by a parent or guardian: name, age, interests and text descriptions. It generates page illustrations and Turkish narration, and stores stories in an in-app library. “Stars” (yıldız) are consumable in-app credits used to make new personalised stories. Packs are one-time App Store or Google Play purchases. Unused purchased stars do not expire. Each account has one free personalised story and access to the general Story of the Week. There is no auto-renewing subscription at launch. If one is introduced later, separate terms and notice will be provided. We may change the scope of features with advance notice. Child profiles, themes and library access remain available to free users; new personalised story generation uses stars.
3. Account and age
You must be at least 18, be the legal parent or guardian for children whose profiles you create, and provide accurate, current details. Ordinary sign-in is through Apple on iOS or Google on Android. Keep your device and sign-in account secure, and report unauthorised access promptly to destek@duskapani.com. Accounts are personal and cannot be transferred, sold or shared. We may suspend an account created by a minor or with false information.
4. Free access and packs
The free account includes one lifetime personalised story per account and access to the general Story of the Week. Profile, theme and content quality features are the same for free and paying users. Stories you make, including the free one, remain accessible in your library while your account is active and are not locked again. Star packs are one-time consumable purchases. Pack contents and current prices appear in the app and the relevant store at checkout. Unused purchased stars remain in the account indefinitely. Stars consumed in creating a story cannot be recovered or refunded.
5. Payments
Apple App Store or Google Play processes all payments. We do not directly collect or store card or bank details. Packs do not renew automatically. The store price shown at purchase is the applicable price. Future price changes do not affect stars already in your account.
6. Refunds and consumer rights
Purchases are subject to the relevant Apple or Google Play refund policy. Consumed stars are not refundable. Request a refund from the store; we can help at destek@duskapani.com but cannot issue a store refund directly. Your rights under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 remain. The Turkish terms explain the 14-day distance-sale withdrawal right and the exception claimed for digital content once story generation begins (Article 15/1-ğ).
7. Your responsibilities
Use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes; keep details accurate; be the legal representative of each child; use the service lawfully and ethically; respect others' rights; protect your account; and report suspicious activity. Do not use generated stories commercially.
8. Prohibited use
Do not seek unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, obscene or exploitative material, especially content harmful to children. Do not impersonate others, infringe intellectual property, bypass security, reverse engineer the app, use bots or scrapers, overload the service, repeatedly claim the one-time free story, sell or share account access, commercially resell stories, or use our brand without permission. Such conduct may result in immediate suspension or termination.
9. Intellectual property and licence
Arda İpekçi owns the app's design, code, brand, logo and other app materials, subject to Turkish intellectual property law. Third-party AI models belong to their providers. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app personally and non-commercially while you follow these terms.
10. Generated content
Personalised text, audio and illustrations are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may use and share them within your family. We expect a reference to Dreamcatcher Stories when you share on social media. You may not sell, distribute or republish them commercially or publish them as a book or e-book without written permission. AI-generated content may occasionally contain unexpected or inaccurate material despite safety review. You decide whether a story suits your child and can report concerns in the app. We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law, threatens child safety or is abusive, without advance notice.
11. Service changes
We may change, improve or end features, prices and free/paid limits. Material changes are communicated by registered email and in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated service terms.
12. Suspension and account closure
You may delete your account in the app or request closure at destek@duskapani.com. Account, child profiles, generated and purchased stories and related personal data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered, except transaction/billing records required by law and the restricted Apple/Google provider ID kept to prevent repeated free-story claims, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account without notice for breach, prohibited use, child safety risk, false information, payment problems or abuse, or a lawful authority request. Unused stars are not refunded on termination, subject to mandatory consumer rights. Data is deleted or anonymised under the Privacy Policy.
13. Liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”; uninterrupted or error-free service is not guaranteed. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Total liability is limited to what you paid for the service in the 12 months before notice of the event. We are not responsible for third-party provider interruptions. These limits do not remove rights under mandatory Turkish contract or consumer law or other mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
14. Force majeure
Extraordinary events outside reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, cyberattacks, internet infrastructure failure or government action, may delay obligations. The affected party receives an appropriate extension, without compensation due solely to that delay.
15. Governing law and disputes
Turkish law governs these terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence. Consumer disputes may be brought to the competent consumer arbitration committee or consumer court under Law No. 6502. Other disputes fall under the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Çağlayan). We prefer to resolve concerns informally first; email destek@duskapani.com.
